The MS5031 is a multifunctional steam iron with numerous advantages. It offers 5 functions: horizontal steam ironing generating 40 grams of steam per minute, horizontal steam ironing with a steam boost of up to 70 grams per minute to smooth particularly stubborn wrinkles, dry ironing (without steam), vertical ironing (e.g. curtains, clothes hanging on hangers such as jackets and blazers), and a spray function with a single water burst of 0.5 grams.

The iron is equipped with 4 systems: automatic shut-off in case the device is left unattended, an anti-drip system that prevents water droplets from leaking when the soleplate has not yet reached the optimal temperature, an anti-scale system that reduces mineral buildup from water inside the device, and a self-cleaning system.

Additional advantages include a large water tank that reduces the need for frequent refilling during ironing. The pointed tip of the soleplate makes it easier to reach hard-to-access areas, such as around buttons or when ironing pleats. The ceramic soleplate improves glide, allowing smooth movement over fabrics. The power cord is 1.5 meters long.

The automatic shut-off function cuts power to the iron when it is left stationary: after 8 minutes in a vertical position and after 30 seconds in a horizontal position. The device signals activation of the automatic shut-off function with five audible beeps.
